They are old friends who needed a driver and roadie so I hopped in the Van. I recorded only one show, and the result was pretty weak (the first 3 had a click and the last 3 are overblown). This Compilation was created by MC Trachiotomy and myself,
Never to be "Officially Released", even though it took us the better part of a year making/compiling it.
It Features a number of bands that don't exist anymore,including some that no longer speak to each other.
I'd say we finished it in 2002 or 2003... originally made to be distributed by ANAL LOG records (MC Trach's First Label), It's a companion record to Miss Pussycat's "Engine Engine No. 9" Skin Graft Records Cassette. EEN9 was sold locally and was nationally distributed by it featured a bunch of locals in 1998, and has since become impossible to find ( I don't have one, so I can't even compare it...).

This... Being the follow up, was named the Coal Car and featured a number of folks from other bands playing solo or under Pseudonyms . I'm not going to spoil! I will tell you Quintron, Trach, and a gang of other well known local musicians were hanging around My house A LOT back then.... Hell, I'll give you some hints.

These are my compiled favorites over the years,
focusing on studio or live recordings of most of the significant parts of my Life.

It starts in the naive late 80's early 90's with my first real band, Hop Flop Fly and moves along to my New Orleans years (including a Cameo of Ernie K-doe) with Fireball Rockett, The Interlopers, and MC Trachiotomy.

A few feature my vocals and bass playing, and others my work as a DJ and songwriter,
some solo stuff is thrown in for fun and texture... I think this is probably the most representative piece I've made of what I've been doing as a musician.

my work as a producer can be a whole other story, perhaps that's what a blog is for.

Shipwreck

Baby Rosebud

This record was "released" in 2004 on Rhinestone Records here in New Orleans burned only on CDRs ...no true production copies exist.
For almost 6 years Rosebud ruled the coffee house set locally in New Orleans and
traveled the U.S. briefly. They were scheduled to do a support tour for this album, only to break up about 6 months before Hurricane Katrina,
their paths together fell apart yielding only this and one other record (cyrillic)(2002)

Its filled with gorgeous, lush soundtrack music with enough Victorian flair to enthrall the hobo kids that populated thier shows, but also shows the sophistication that began Courtney Lain's eventual mastery of arrangement
...which is known as Herringbone Orchestra

Included are 2 Extra tracks made by D. Lefty Parker from the same era
"Abraxis" By Courtney Lain
and "Rosebud Remix" created for Quintron's remix party at the Spellcaster Lodge 2001
